Gameplay:

Hijack is a skill-based top down bullet hell. Dash through waves of bullets and kill the strongest enemy you can find, then die to become him and fight even stronger enemies!

Every block is hand placed -- If you see a hole in the room, check it out! You may be surprised.

PS: Doing the tutorial may reveal the location of the secret boss...

Gameplay Tips:

Try to explore as much as you can, and don't forget to dash!

If you feel the room is too hard, perhaps you need to find an easier room

Sometimes, rushing past enemies to the next room is the best strategy.

There are 5 ships and 11 bullet types.

Green bullets pierce walls, boomerangs home to your mouse.

---Spoilers---

Walkthrough if you are stuck:

1) After entering the dungeon, turn left and explore the triangle mines. Kill and become the slave driver.

2) Explore the right side of the map, kill and become the triangle in the room with the sign "Danger Ahead"

3) Walk down into the 1 wide hole in the room with 4 circles shooting green bullets. Keep going down and become the Yellow Square.

4) Use the Yellow Square to kill enemies in the room with the sign "Lair of the Destroyer". Become either the triangle or the circle.

5) With either the triangle or circle, go back into the crawlspace. Instead of going down into the room with the yellow square, go right and kill and become the Blue Moon.

6) Challenge the Destroyer with the Blue Moon. Watch out for the boss's chain fireball attacks!

Really interesting concept, a puzzler bullethell.

Played the whole thing, including the secret boss. Managed to get through without looking at the walkthrough, so i'd say the difficulty is pretty manageable from a puzzle/sequence design perspective. Might be a tad bit hard for those new to bullethells though.

Varied bullet and ship types keeps players looking forward to the next upgrade in their body hopping. Feels pretty fleshed out and complete, would totally play more levels of this, though maintaining the novelty might be rather difficult. Look forward to further iterations of this idea if you plan on doing it!

The overall aesthetic is real great, and the music is a banger. A little sound effect for when the dodge bar is refilled would be great tho. Hard to look away from the bullets to check.
